Malta updates entry requirements

With UK Divers excited about the possibility to now travel to Malta this Summer as it is now on the Green List, the Malta Ministry for Health has announced that all arrivals from the United Kingdom will need to present proof of full vaccination in the form of the NHS COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate Letter issued by the NHS. Only the paper version of the NHS COVID letter will be accepted which can be requested online or by calling 119. The vaccination certificate will be not accepted in digital or downloaded PDF form. Only fully vaccinated persons (second vaccination + 14 days) can travel to Malta from the United Kingdom. Other vaccination certificates accepted include the Maltese vaccination certificate and the from today, 1st July 2021, the EU digital COVID vaccine certificate.
Update 01.07.21: From 01 July 2021, the Malta Ministry for Health has announced that it will accept proof of full vaccination in the form of digital COVID passes, this includes the NHS app or the vaccination certificate in digital or downloaded PDF form.
Children aged 5-11 can travel if they accompany vaccinated parents or legal guardians provided they provide a negative nasopharyngeal PCR test carried out within 72 hours before arrival in Malta. Children under 5 do not need a test, while those aged 12+ can only travel with a full vaccination certificate.
A Maltese resident or citizen not in possession of an accepted vaccine certificate can proceed to Malta only after seeking pre-authorization from covid19.vetting@gov.mt.

DIVING talks 2022: the discussion we all want to hear

This year’s DIVING talks event will take place in Troia, Portugal from October 7-9 2022. The event will bring together many of the world’s leading divers, explorers, scientists, and researchers, and one of the highlights is sure to be the presentations.

- Mark Caney, PADI – Professional Association of Diving Instructors’ Industry Relations and Training Executive, is President of the European Underwater Federation, President of the Rebreather Training Council and President of the World Recreational Scuba Training Council.

DIVING talks 2022: all you need to know about this year’s event in Portugal

It’s been announced that the second DIVING talks event will take place in Troia, Portugal from October 7-9 2022. This international event brings together the world’s leading divers, explorers, scientists, and researchers, and follows the 2021 event considered by many to be one of the best dive shows worldwide.
DIVING talks will feature presentation panels, talks and debates by keynote speakers from all over the world to promote and share knowledge on the underwater environment. The Organization expects to host 450+ worldwide attendees locally and 50,000 online viewers during the show’s three days.
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
- Once again, the show will bring together a fantastic Speakers Panel with some of the most recognised and followed divers, explorers, scientists, and researchers;
- Capitalising on the success of the “Talks” format, DIVING talks 2022 maintains the thematic panels’, but the Speakers will engage in other debate formats;
- The brands will have more facetime with their clients and promote equipment trials, workshops, and networking opportunities during the so-called “Activities”.
- Establish in Portugal a new hub for all subjects related to diving, both technical and scientific.
The DIVING talks speakers come from all over the world, work on different projects related to the subaquatic environment and will share incredible stories with the attendees.
